Highland Restricted Title Clean Sweep for Sophie (Inverness), Cara (Lochcarron) and Jackson (Buckie)
On Saturday 24th March 2018 Inverness Leisure Centre hosted the Highland Restricted Age group tournament under 12, under 15 and under 18. Over 100 players travelled from all over the Highlands to compete: Inverness, Lochcarron, Applecross, Western Isles, Barra, Gairloch, Caithness, Culbokie, Fortrose, Dingwall, Moray, Buckie, Nairn and Broadford. HBG were delighted to see players compete in their first tournament and hope they enjoyed the experience.
The tournament run in pool system continuing onto elimination final rounds (with consolation events only running for doubles events). All games were 1 to 21 with setting. The large intake could only allow this – but we did want to ensure pools were played for all events to ensure players got an equal amount of games throughout the day.

I would like to thank Inverness Leisure Centre for their use of their facility – the staff were excellent at making sure we were catered for throughout the day. All our volunteers who made the day run as smoothly as possible: Marion McCoustra, Sharon Barrie, Leslie Gordon, Caroline Brown, Tracey Gough, Lisa Fenton-Obrien, Robbie Brown, Andrew Durrand, David Barrie, Megan Campbell and Jane Grant. Without all our helpers we would not be able to run any events therefore their help is very much appreciated.
